《铁锤大战》(hammerfight)是08年入围游戏中最为传统的一个游戏——当然是相对蜡笔物理学（Crayon Physics Deluxe）、粘粘世界（World of Goo）、音乐冲浪（Audiosurf）来说的——是一个喜欢火爆、刺激游戏的非休闲类游戏的传统玩家桃花小妹最为值得期待的一个游戏 。

Solo模式的第一章分了双线，一条是打野味一条是对战，最后都要杀巨型生物和防守战然后被抓……没了（Demo画面出现）

Arena模式加入了进阶系统，本来还指望用这个挣钱……结果打了约莫十局之后也没了（Demo画面出现）

然后是异常重要的新系统，即金钱相关。这游戏会给你记录挣到的每个钱币，在主界面上会于机体周围向内绕圈……绕满了就会升级机体吗？用钱可以买几种不同的道具，补血瓶toka、盔甲toka、箭镖toka、酸弹toka、还有一些在下也不知道是什么的超级贵道具（都用来买武器了……）。因为已经加入了防修改系统，weapon_lock和m_coins什么的都不能碰否则判全部没收，现在就只能改关卡打钱（GAIAR_post.seria，虫子野味关，打得好的话可以挣400～500铜币）。
